Display and Design

The Redmi Note 12 features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED dot display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and supports Dolby Vision.

The phone has a glass front and plastic frame body. It measures 165.88 x 76.21 x 7.99mm and weighs around 179 grams.

Performance and Storage

Powering the Redmi Note 12 is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor based on a 6nm manufacturing process. It is coupled with Adreno GPU, up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The storage can be expanded using a microSD card up to 1TB.

The phone runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and packs a 5000mAh battery with 33W Pro fast charging support.

Cameras

For optics, there is a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with 120° FOV and a 2MP macro camera.

The selfie camera housed in the centrally-aligned punch-hole cutout is a 13MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It supports AI face unlock feature.

Connectivity and Security

Connectivity options on the Redmi Note 12 include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope and proximity sensor.

The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side for quick biometric authentication. Face unlock feature is also available.
